The street
was variously referred to as Seal Rock Road, Seal Rock Drive, Cliff
House Road, and Point Lobos Avenue. I'm betting in the 19th century
it was something simple like "The Cliff House, Seal Rock Road, San
Francisco."
The answer will be in the old City Directories at the main SF
Library.Here's one such directory, but
unfortunately it's not dated:
